2022 Field Improvements

We are fortunate to have such great fields for use by M-A Little League.

It has been a few years since a full overhaul has taken place, and the conditions especially deteriorated during the cancelled 2020 season, when there wasn't the regular upkeep, watering, fixes, etc., that take place during regular play.

During the 2021 season, a number of needs were identified, including the replacement of some grass areas that build up over time and can cause balls to bounce in unpredictable directions.

After the 2021 Fall Ball season and ahead of the start of the 2022 season, the field crew got to work with a local firm that specializes in field repair and playing surfaces. There are still more repairs that we would like to tackle, but these steps went a long way in improving the playing conditions.

The photos below shows some of the initial conditions and in-process work.

These improvements wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of the M-A Little Little League community - thank you!
